Research is an essential part of the design process for any project. We begin with understanding a client’s needs, which often starts long before project initiation. During the project planning phase, we evaluate the project’s context, history, and the physical site’s pre-existing conditions. As a project progresses, the design team assesses the performance characteristics of materials and building components, and whether they are appropriate for use, considering other parameters such as aesthetics, cost, and sustainability.
Education is a daily activity at PWA, and sharing up-to-date, relevant resources is integral to our practice. We would be pleased to assist you in finding the design information you need for your next building project.
