Research is an essential part of the design process for any project. We begin with understanding a client’s needs which often starts long before project initiation. During the project planning phase, we evaluate a project’s context, history, and pre-existing conditions of the physical site. As a project progresses, the design team assesses the performance characteristics of materials and building components and whether they are appropriate for use considering other parameters such as aesthetics, cost, sustainability, etc. Education is a daily activity at PWA, and sharing up-to-date and relevant resource information and resources is an integral part of our practice. We would be pleased to assist you in finding the design information you need for your next building project.
