Bird Watching in South Central Kansas

My wife Suzanne and I just got back from a fantastic birding trip to Quivira National Wildlife Refuge and Cheyenne Bottoms in South Central Kansas. There were all manner of waterfowl: wood ducks, red heads, buffleheads, scaup, a zillion shovelers and several hundred ruddy ducks rafted in a huge mass on Big Salt Marsh along with the usual suspects.
