PWA, formerly a member of the PWAE Group, Inc., completed these projects as part of a major repair program initiated by the U.S. Postal Service. Many of the Post Offices offered unusual challenges. The work that was done varied widely dependent upon the specific needs of each facility. Some repairs include new roofs, additions of entrances or docks, paving, landscape, redesign, interior and exterior restoration, door, and window replacement, lobby redesign, and accommodation for handicap accessibility. In more extreme cases, subterranean water leakage required extraordinary measures. Double system sump pumps, new drain tile in basement slabs, and improved site drainage were utilized to alleviate the leaking.
